[10000 Chinese Characters] aims at expanding vocabulary for Chinese learners. If you wish to become fluent or even take the HSK exam in the future, you could't avoid the thousands of Chinese characters.
For some "older" learners it may be a daunting task not only because they may be "too old" to memorise such amount of new words, but because it is not easy for them to spare a lot of time for a language.
[10000 Chinese Characters] provides a systematic and natural way for memorising words. We will focus on the Bible <Genesis 1> with 50 chapters which contains approximately 10000 characters. The following steps are my suggestions.
1) Read the sentences (English and Chinese)
2) Read the words accordingly (English and Chinese)
3) Read the Pinyin, look up dictionary if you are not sure about the pronunciation.
4) Copy the content to your notebook, use your imagination to link the pronunciation with the meaning of every word.
5) Read your notes regularly.
